Partnership between the "Escola Eletrão" and "Recicle e Ganha" contests
The "Recycle and Win" recycling contest, part of the Ecovalor program, involves more than 1,000 schools in the 174 municipalities served by the EGF group companies and aims to promote good environmental practices in educational establishments throughout the country, rewarding those that demonstrate the best performance in recycling used packaging.

"Recicla e Ganha" partners with "Escola Electrão"
Within the scope of the "Recycle and Win" contest, integrated into the Ecovalor Program, we have partnered with the "Escola Electrão" campaign, and until July 1st you can leave batteries, light bulbs and other used electrical equipment for recycling at more than 500 educational establishments throughout the country, from kindergarten to secondary school.

Toneladas de Ajuda for those who need it most with a simple gesture - Recycle
EGF's campaign, which combines environmental and social causes, challenges people to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. The gesture is simple: just recycle.

EGF environmental education campaigns break records
In total, 13,700 tonnes of packaging were collected in the five campaigns: Ecovalor, Toneladas de Ajuda, EcoEventos, EcoPraias and Mercado a Reciclar, which are developed by EGF Group companies for various audiences and promote recycling anytime, anywhere. These campaigns make it possible to measure the amount of packaging separated for recycling and assess their direct results in terms of the quantities collected.

Selective collection increased by 5% in 2023
Total selective collection increased and unsorted collection decreased
EGF, the company responsible for the treatment and recovery of urban waste in 174 municipalities in mainland Portugal and 60% of the population, recorded a 5% increase in total selective collection in 2023, including packaging, wood, bio-waste and bulky items.
