The traveling exhibition “HOUSE OF THE ENVIRONMENT” aims to reach and raise awareness among as many people as possible about the issue of waste, appealing to the need to value and recycle packaging waste and to adopt small gestures of separation and sorting at the source;

When does this take place?

The traveling exhibition House of the Environment will be available to participating municipalities between February and December.

Where does this take place?

It remains in each municipality, according to requests addressed to us, for at least one week, with dismantling and reassembly done on Saturdays. This exhibition has the support of a monitor who accompanies the visitor throughout the visit.

How does it work?

This activity targets the school community, which, through the municipalities, will have transportation available to visit the exhibition. When not serving the municipalities, this mobile unit serves as support for visits to be carried out in each of the Integrated Centers for the Treatment and Valorization of Municipal Solid Waste.

The exhibition consists of a TIR truck, equipped with air conditioning, divided into two compartments. In the first, a separation game is played, where visitors receive information on how to use the recycling point. The second compartment is a mini-auditorium with capacity for 12 adults where, using a Playstation game, questions about waste separation are answered. In this space, it is also possible to watch a film, the ERSUC institutional film, which dynamically presents the operation of the Integrated Waste Treatment and Recovery Centers of Aveiro and Coimbra.
