Whether it is a cultural, sporting, recreational or commemorative event, we provide logistical support for the sorting of waste and its channelling to the appropriate collection systems, as well as environmental awareness and communication initiatives that encourage the adoption of good waste management practices.
How does it work?
Events can receive support for the separate collection of waste, tailored to the scale of the event. This support includes on-site awareness-raising activities and may also involve financial incentives linked to the quantities of packaging correctly sorted.
All event organisers are eligible to apply for this initiative, including local authorities, parish councils and event promoters.
Requirements for receiving this support:
- Implementation of separate collection of packaging at the event venue;
- Organisation of training and awareness-raising activities for waste producers and event participants;
- Collaboration in monitoring and evaluating results regarding waste produced and/or avoided;
- Implementation of good environmental practices at the venue where the event takes place;
- Promotion and dissemination of environmental initiatives to the event’s audience.
Any organisation proposing or organising the event that is interested in receiving this support must complete the form at the bottom of the page
Applications for events can be submitted at any time of the year; you simply need to apply some time in advance of the event so that the necessary logistics can be organised.
There is no cost involved.
Awareness is raised among the organizers and, if applicable, vendors, with practical information on the correct separation of waste.
There is also the possibility of having monitors on-site during the event. This is a way to engage participants and promote the event's sustainability.
The campaign covers events of various sizes and types, such as festivals, fairs, sporting events, popular celebrations, or other public gatherings.
Some fields do not apply to all companies. After submitting this form, the Recycling Helpline will contact you to confirm your registration and will inform you if anything does not apply.
